The Chinese Journal of Digestive Surgery was first published in 2002 as the Journal of Digestive Surgery , then renamed and became a member of the journals of Chinese Medical Association in 2007. It is the sole specialized journal covering the whole field of digestive surgery in China, with target readers including teachers and students from medical universities, medical researchers and surgeons engaged in digestive surgery. The journal aims at spreading both domestic and overseas new theories, techniques and experiences in the field of digestive surgery, acting as a bridge for communication between domestic and overseas readers and promoting the development of digestive surgery in China.
